A while ago, partly because my reading of Peirce got me interested in probability and knowledge, and partly because my work as a college writing instructor got me interested in the formulaic nature of language, I tried to think through a way of assessing and explaining any discourse, idiom, text or utterance in terms of degrees of predictability.
